Rocío holds Doctoral degree in History, a Master's Degree in Teaching for Higher Education Institutions, and a Bachelor's Degree in Educational Sciences.Rocio is an active member of several prestigious Academies, among which are the Academia de Historia Nariñense, National Academy of History of Ecuador, Society of Inter-American Studies (IAS), Network of Latin American Historians (AHILA), Association of Historians of Ecuador ADHIEC and Anthropology Section of the House of Ecuadorian Culture. Rocío has worked as a professor in several universities in Ecuador for 22 years and has held management positions in public and private universities in Ecuador. Additionally, she is the author or co-author of more than 16 books and has more than 45 historical research articles in indexed journals. Rocío is an expert in bibliographical research, scientific writing, design of educational texts and teaching techniques.
